“This is dog story on Forsythe Island. During the dreamtime the female dingo travelled from near Alice Springs in the desert up to the mainland just opposite Forsythe Island. She got pregnant and had her pups on Forsythe and left all the male dingoes behind. You can hear them calling for her at night.” Thelma Burke
